As a company committed to reducing our operational footprint while enabling energy-efficient lighting solutions for global use, our environmental strategy spans energy and emissions, resource management, product lifecycle design, and localized supply chain integration.
The Highlights
Spotlight’s operational carbon footprint is among the lowest in our sector, reflecting our lean operations and early investments in energy efficiency. Total Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions are estimated at ~39.5 tCO₂e/year.

Waste &
Water
With no internal manufacturing facilities, Spotlight’s direct water usage is minimal—recorded at 315 m³ in 2024, largely limited to sanitary and office needs. However, we remain conscious of indirect water intensity, particularly in upstream processes like semiconductor fabrication used in LED modules. Our suppliers’ water footprints are being evaluated using industry benchmarks and sustainability audits.
On the waste management front, Spotlight has implemented structured controls:
Waste segregation by type: plastics, paper, metal, e-waste, batteries, and lighting components
Certified collection and disposal by licensed third-party providers
Reuse of incoming packaging for outbound shipping and warehousing
Emphasis on local sourcing reduces packaging waste and transit materials
